| My Maltese Romeo is one of the poor babies that have allergies real bad. I was giving him benadryl 1 in am 1 in pm it worked very little I took him back to another vet she said Zyrtec 1 a day is best and benadryl is not as strong. If his ear hair starts to grow he shakes his head a bites his feet lot I take him to the groomer every 25 to 30 days to pluck his ear hair and groom him and for some reason it calms him down he leaves his feet alone. But for him Zyrtec works the best. Brenda |

| Thanks everyone for your thoughts and great conversation! I've noticed a big difference in Mocha since putting him on Zyrtec. He definitely scratches less if any at all (outside of normal scratching). He seems more comfortable. Prior to Zyrtec he would put his whole foot in his mouth chewing and licking it, not so much anymore. He takes 5mg a day. |
