| yorkie's 1st heat My yorkie just went through her first heat. She has stopped bleeding, but her breasts are still very swollen. Is this normal? |

| Assuming she did not mate and there were NO males around, she could be going through a false pregnancy. My girl just went through this. She even leaked milk. You need to keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't get mastitis (infection in the teat). Keep a good eye on her.

| I just took my Bailey to the vet for a false pregnancy just to rule out infection, but she is ok, he said she may start "mothering" one of her toys. I am going to get my nerve up and get her spayed so she does not have to go through this again. |
