| Yorkies are very small and do not bleed much so many of them just keep themselves very clean. If you notice her doing a lot of licking, check to see if her vulva is enlarged. When they are in heat it is very noticeably enlarged Is there a reason why you have not had her spayed? |

| You'll notice a definate change the size of her vulva. But, since these wee ones are really clean with themselves. Since they bleed so minimally, you may have to follow behind her as she pees, take a tissue and blot her...The first day will be very light red...and increase to a bright red, then fade to a brownish or pinkish color. When that happens keep her away from the boys.

| It's an infection affecting her reproductive organs. It needs to be taken care of now or she can die on you. Take the bedding with you so, the vet can see it.

| I'm praying this is not the case. But, you never let the sun set on a possible case of Pyrometria
