Anyway, hope Prince has a nice calm day. I took Ted to the park for a stoll. People must think I have a pot belly pig cause he's swollen from steroids and snorting like a littl piggy. Seems he can't sniff without snorting anymore. Compared to how he sounded with the tumor in his nose, at least I know he's more comfortable than he was prior to surgery. Just those episodes scare the heck out of us, don't the????

I know. I am concerned about using steroids also. Don't worry about what people say! As long as Ted is having fun, that's all that matters. I bought Prince a bottle of Rescue Remedy about a month ago, but I haven't given it to him yet...I'm concerned about the alcohol content. A lot of people give it to their dogs; the reviews have been mixed.

In some cases that is true, but not in all. I've met one lady with a yorkie at the vet, and her dog has CT and a chronic cough and honking. She said his coughing happens more at night.

B/c if not, there is no way to know if he had it or not...

Prince had the full pre-anesthesia tests...blood, urine, and x-rays. He was fine. I'm not sure if he had an electrocardiograph. I have the print out from his doctor, but I don't see that.

there is a rescue remedy for pets with no alcohol in it that is what i use when dd gets blood draws as she gets too stressed

the cough is due to the heart being affected not the ct as ct affects the heart as well.

I know, but I can't find that here. I've only seen it online. My nephew uses the original for his Old English Sheepdog, and loves it. I know a lot of people of this site use the orginal, again the reviews are mixed. One poster put it on her yorkies ears, and it apparently worked. I haven't tried it at all on Prince. I'll probably use the whole bottle of me!!

Yes, because Prince uses steroids, that is a must.

I spoke with the vet tech where Prince had his teeth cleaned, and according to his xrays, there was no sign of CT before the cleaning. She is going to mail me his xrays.

No, I was so overwhelmed that I forgot. I'll call again in a few days and ask. What do you think about the fact that Prince had no sign of CT before his dental cleaning? I know what is done, is done, but I cannot let this go without some type of legal action. Prince's life is forever changed.
