| I can't find a food my Yorkie will eat Hi Everyone, I'm new to this and I've been looking at some posts and they have been really helpful, so I知 hoping you guys can help me out. My 8 month old Yorkie, Tiger is such a picky eater. When we first got him he痴 was on canidae and he stopped eating it after my parents start giving him human food (chicken and rice) so then I finally got him back to dog food (eukanuba) but I知 trying to get him a better quality food. I went to a local pet store that specializes in holistic, natural, and organic foods. They were kind enough to give me samples of so many different types of food but I just do know which one to keep my little Tiger on. What I've been doing so far is putting some canned dog tripe on top of the kibble so he'll eat it but I want to stick to one great quality dry kibble that he will love. The samples they gave me are: California Naturals, Innova, Merrick, Sold Gold, Fromm, and Lotus. Out of these brands which one would you think would be the best for my Tiger. I Love him so much and I only want the best for him. Thanks! |

| I've never heard of Lotus, but all of those are pretty good foods. My two favorite brands in your list are Innova and Fromm. A few other really good foods are Orijen, Acana and Nature's Variety. Since you have a picky eater, you may just have to go with whichever one he's willing to eat. Welcome to YT!!

| Thanks for your help!!! my main issue right now is he will not eat dry kibble by itself unless I put some sort of canned wet food on it so thats why I can't pick one that he likes cause he will eat of its covered in wet food. So far i was leaning towards innova or fromm as well but like I said I just want the best for my little guy! |

| Fromm and Innova are great foods. Acana is my #1 choice and is the only food my picky eater will eat!! But I agree with bonbon fully. Whichever kibble you see your pup eating the most of, I would stick with that one. Good luck We all know how hard this can be!! Snick & Viv

Senior Yorkie Talker | My puppy eats rice and chicken (organic) and i put chicken broth in it!! I warm it up and mush it up and she loves it. I don't know if that will work for you but thats what the vet said for me to do with picky bella, now she gains weight and has a full belly all the time!!

I've tried Artemis, Acana (grain free), Now! (grain free), Wellness, and Orijen. We are currently on Acana since it seems to work for both of my pups.

| My boy was always picky!! I bought so many kinds of food as a pup for him. Until we found Nature's Variety Instinct. That was the 1st food he seemed to really LOVE and I was amazed. I stumbled across the food because k9cuisine.com had a deal going to get a free bag of it, and pay like $5 shipping, so I thought it was worth it just to get but never thought he'd like it as much as he did. He's still eating it today and has been since September (rotating between Turkey/Duck flavor & Rabbit) but we switched to Fromm's Surf and Turf for 2 months in between and he also gobbled that right up! He seems to like the sample of Acana we got as well so I think we will be trying that next. I'd like to get 2-3 foods in rotation for him since he's picky and gets bored easily.

| Maddie is a picky eater too. She really liked California Natural and it is a Great food. I would still be on it but we couldn't get it locally. Now, we are on Blue Buffalo and luckily, she gobbles it up. |

| I feed Bilbo Merrick "Before Grain." He's a picky eater as well, simply because my husband like to sneak him bites of people food. I have two ways to trick him into eating his kibble--I either use it as treats when we are training OR I eat one to make him think it's people food. I like the BG because he has itchy skin, and he hasn't had as many problems since I put him on it. |

| i've gone through so many different brands of kibble, there is nothing milu likes to eat. NOTHING, even at two years old. she's always been skinny because she doesn't like to eat. i finally started cooking for her, and she is gaining weight and finally enjoying her food.

| I rotate between EVO, Orijen, Acana & Blue Wilderness. Ever since switching to a grain free food, Sasha looks forward to her meals. I also add a forkful of homecooked to each meal. |
