| new yorkie owner... need some advice... I have a 8 week old and she was on Eukanuba when I bought her, but I looked on the www.dogfoodanalysis.com website and they were rated pretty low. I looked at the 5-star preminum dry foods and picked Wellness Just for Puppy. I slowly mixed the Eukanuba and Wellness, but her poop is extremely stinky and mushy. Does it take time for the puppy to get use to it and then the poop won't be so bad OR do I need to change it? I notice that she's been itching a lot and only thing I changed was the food. I do use petkin petwipes on her, but I don't think she's allergic to that. I washed her today with Tropiclean shampoo for puppy which has oatmeal, but I don't think it's that either because it's for sensitive skin and she has been itching before I bathe her. Mmmm... I was thinking of switching to Innova Puppy... Read a few post on here about YTs feeding this to their yorkies. |

| A tar shampoo is good we used that on our previous yorkie but I wont let my mum use it on our new one (as i dont like the smell) As for food We have the Kitten and dog both on Royal canin expensive but worth the money we put the yorkie on Eukanuba and then hills but she loves the senabal one on royal canin there is ones directed just for yorkshire terriors which you could look into. Ask your local shops if they have any samples of the food.

| My pup went from Iams (kibbles) and I tried switching over to Royal Canine but he either got constipated or sick from it. I switched over to Wellness and doesn't seem to have any issues. Rather than buying an entire bag and then finding out my puppy didn't like it or doesn't agree with his tummy, I went through few of the sites to request samples and test them out before actually buying a bag. I chose about 4-5 that had at least 4 stars on the rating and just emailed the company. Same thing for the shampoo. Good luck to you! |

| How long did you transition (mix the two foods) for?

| With a puppy just 8 weeks old, I wouldn't try to transition to a different food just yet. Wait at least another month.
