A tar shampoo is good we used that on our previous yorkie but I wont let my mum use it on our new one (as i dont like the smell)
As for food We have the Kitten and dog both on Royal canin expensive but worth the money we put the yorkie on Eukanuba and then hills but she loves the senabal one on royal canin there is ones directed just for yorkshire terriors which you could look into. Ask your local shops if they have any samples of the food.
