A year plus ago, I was trying to find that "perfect" food for the M's. and I was buying different food. I had some extra food and different samples bags I was Not using. I zip locked up some food and when I saw "homeless" with their dogs standing on the corners asking $$ I would give out a bag of dog food. I was first worried that the dogs would get tummy problems buy switching food, then I realized that the premium dog food I was giving them was by far better than probably what they were eating.

i buy the organic can at whole foods but there is a pumpkin shortage so it is tough to find it and i freeze little baggies of it in the snack bags as i only let it go 3 days in fridge. You can use an ice cube tray freeze it in there then pop out and put in a baggie in freezer is another option Last edited by dwerten; 03-14-2010 at 02:22 PM. | |

| I love the pumpkin- Layla gets about 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp a day- daily. she is doing really really well on it. She is 6 lbs- so maybe 1 tsp for moosie? 1.5 tsp? |

I will be going to the store in a few minutes. I will pick up some can pumpkin. I am anxious to see what the seller of the dogzymes e-mails me back.

| just be sure it is pure- not the spiced kind. it comes in a huge huge can (at least here it does) put it in an airtight container- should stay ok in the fridge for a bit. When you freeze it and thaw it takes on a different texture- Layla will still eat it tho- and she is picky. |
