| Successful neutering surgery, unsuccessful at keeping still My 7 month old furbaby had a successful surgery yesterday. Last night he didn't have much of an appetite nor was he very playful, which is to be expected. The vet gave me the post-op instructions along with the pain medication. The number one instruction was to keep him "quiet" for 7-10 days, no jumping, playing, running, etc. . . First night that was a breeze, Mocha didn't feel like doing any of those things, today, however is a completely different story. He has been running and jumping throughout the house, bringing me his toys, all the listed things not to do. My fear is that he will injure himself or tear a suture. I'm looking for ideas or ways to keep him (and myself) mellow for the next 7-10 days. . . |

| Confine him to a room where he hopefully can't jump.

| I had the same problem with Maddy 1 week ago. He was his usual wild self the next day. I did have the steps for the couch and he did seen to use them more. I also would crate him when I could not watch him to make sure he was getting into too much rough housing with Shelby.

| This sounds just like Chase! The first night he just layed around, but the next day he wanted to run and jump. We put his harness and leash on him, and whenever one of us couldn't be right there holding the leash, he went in his pen. We did this for about 6 days, and he was fine. |
