Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I don't eat meat either, but my boys eat pre-made raw - it doesn't bother me at all, but we all have our comfort level. If the smell of meat bothers you in general, what about kibble, which is quite odorless, but balanced? There are some quality options out there that would be better options than Cesar, in my opinion. Like Crystal mentioned, an unblanced homecooked diet can be, well, dangerous actually (just mentioning this bc of the baked chicken thing )....so caution is good there bc you never know how much fat is used, which can be hazardous to this breed, especially.

| They probably make the print so small b/c if we could easily read it we'd puke right their in the store. The second, third, and fourth or fifth ingredients are meat by-products. These are ingredients used that are not fit for human consumption. This can include: organs, entrails, heads, feet, or anything else left over that can not be used. ewwww! Much worse than rabbit, imo. |

My Maddie "eats" Natural Balance small bites. I hesitate to say eats because I always have to add something to it to get her to eat. Cooked, drained, rinsed hamburger or turkey meat, shredded cheese, canned chicken, or now I have started buying the Natural Balance food roll and grating some of that over her kibble. I have tried at least 8 different brands of kibble trying to get Maddie to eat. Am I wrong in thinking she should eat the kibble without having to have anything added in? I am starting to think she may just be spoiled, because in the evenings, she will pick out the "good" stuff and leave the kibble. If I leave her bowl down, she will sometimes go back later and eat the kibble, so evidently she doesn't hate the taste of the kibble. Either that or she's so hungry she'll just eat whatever?????? | |

Might sound gross but if the rabbit was healthy your baby was getting a good meal. Dog food do contain a replica for raw meal and what better than fresh. That's why if you homecooked you need to give supplements. Cesar's is not good due to all those fillers, your dog was better off with that rabbit. I give my girls Merrick puppy plate. Maybe not the best but better than most.
