Cesar Food: Have You Seen Or Tried It I saw it in the grocery today and they have a lot of varieties, including a breakfast entree. Has anyone tried it for their dog~? I am just curious about it. |
If you are talking about the kind with the little Westie on the front, yes!! ZZ loves it, and she only gets it every now and then (2 times a week) I like it a lot better than kibbles and bits and the other cheaper wet foods. She also like the beneful creations or whatever it is! Lol. AND Chef Micheals. |
The packaging is cute but the quality is very low! You might want to check out some better quality foods for your baby.:) |
I was only asking about it. It does have a Westie on it. My Yorkie is on "Blue' , but we've switched more times than I can count. He's a picky dog. I know some folks that cook for their dog, but I am not about to do that~! |

I would not recommend feeding Cesar brand. In my opinion, it is not a quality dog food based on the ingredients. I am not sure if you are looking for a quality dry food (kibble) or wet food, but I recommend checking out this site to review ratings for different brands: Dog Food Analysis. ETA: I checked the site, and Cesar wet food only gets a "1 Star" rating. |
My Yorkie is on the dry fish food by "Blue". The Petsmart stores here are revamping their dog food section and have no canned fish. I know it probably won't matter, but I am wanting him to have the fish instead of the other canned stuff. Just a teaspoon to mix in with his wet. I am almost out of the I/D that the Vet put him on for him a while back. |

It would make you sick to your stomach if you really knew what was in Cesar Dog Food... |

Well I am glad you realize she is not a veggie but cesar's has by products which could be dead animals from the dumps...not good. Full of animals with diseases and vaccinations up the youhooooooo. Why don't you send a message to Ann the moderator as she is also a vegetarian and see what she feeds her little ones...Actually there are a number of people here on YT...do another thread asking for imput from Vegetarians... |
A couple summer ago, my Yorkie caught a rabbit and feasted on it. I was screaming and a mess seeing him do that. The rabbit was so fat that it couldn't get thru the fence. He shore had a feast :) I am sure those products won't bother him. I hate to admit....but I bought him a piece of baked chicken from Kroger's grocery today. Now are ya'll going to be upset with me for this  |
I think that is one of the worst things I did for my Callie. They gave me Caesar brand puppy food for her when we bought her (such a no-no to begin with!) from the pet store. She wasn't doing well at all. I honestly didn't know if she was going to make it. I switched her to Nutro Ultra puppy and she is thriving. |

No Cesars! I agree. I wouldn't even want to see what they make their food out of. Quote:
While I wouldn't recommend Cesars, I'd rather see a dog eat that than kill and eat a rabbit or have an unbalanced, homecooked diet. |
Before YT, I gave these to Maddie every now and then. After a few weeks, she started throwing up after each cup. Her vomit was a greasy mess. The vet said these are a NO-NO! They are much too rich for their tummies. She compared it to a human eating a huge chunk of chocolate cake at every meal.:thumbdown After finding out what was in them, never again. |
OK I will admit, I am guilty of feeding Joey and Cabella Ceasars. But they love it!! I feed Royal Canine skin and stone, but being so picky I have to add a couple of tablespoons of wet with it to get them to eat. I get the Royal Canine canned, but somethime forget to stop by the vets so i switch from canned chicken in the am or pm to a wet. Little Ceasars and Beneful are the ones I grab when I run out of Royal Canine. Each dog gets a fourth of the ceasars container. I correct my error by thinking its only for a couple of days, then I get on here and really feel like a terrible mom by putting any of this into their system. Why do we do dumb things, even though we know better.. Thanks again for making me THINK!!!! Sharon |
