				   |      In my last thread, (here   ![]() http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-analysis.html I switched Luckys food from science diet to Evangers! I came home today and diarrhea everywhere...... I don't know what to do.....what is causing this? Is it the high protein or what? Should I switch back to he science diet? Should I try a different food with lower protein? I am confused..... B  |

				   |      If that is wet food the protien would be very very high, as I was looking at a wet food with 6% protien and when calculate it was over 20% .

				   |      yeah then i would stick to 22% for a yorkie - high protein is for very active dogs and high protein can lead to health issues in this breed like stones and if a dog has liver disease which many have mvd it will cause problems - has your york been bile acid tested?     |

Vet could have done plasma transfusion and there could have been some diet changes as well once dog was stabilized - next time a dog is sick like this getting them to internal medicine is key    as they know more about internal organs, etc.  There is a reason they specialize in certain things as vets cannot know everything about everything especially if they have never dealt with that health issue    this vet should have referred you to a specialist when he could not get this dog stabilized  |  |
