| Losing Hair? Hey everyone: My Romeo just turned 3 months the other day and all of a sudden his hair is shedding. I know that Yorkies are not meant to lose much hair and he hasn't been shedding up till now. Is this normal for him to start losing hair randomly, or should I be worried? Has anyone else had this situation occur?

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | The pups normally got through a change of coat. You will see them getting clumpy. Give him a good brushing and just watch it. If it's in clumps and you see bald spots then it might be an allergy or other health issue you need to address with your doctor.

| No, I haven't seen any bald spots. Just noticing his hair on my clothes and pillows after he's laying down.

| He's always been a scratcher but he hasn't been scratching any more than usual. I had asked the vet about his scratching before and they just suggested I don't bathe him as often. He's also been checked for fleas and he's good in that department also.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | What are you feeding him? Could be an allergy. I think the biggest allergy they tend to have is to corn. So check his food and see if it has any of that. How many times are you bathing him? I usually bathe mine once a week. Make sure to wash and rinse him well to be sure that you get all the shampoo off. Sometimes it take a lot of washing to get the shampoo off. It can make them very itchy.

| I feed him Royal Canin because when I was looking at foods, that one didn't have corn in it. And I was bathing him once a week. Maybe I do need to rinse him some more. I just don't know what else it could be.
