I actually did that once where I wanted to change Bailey to the end of the month. We skipped a couple of weeks and he was ok...

I'm a coward and couldn't let him go without the preventative that long so I soldier on with the old Appt. Book and as I'm usually in it several times a day, I don't miss but a couple times a year and those are caught within couple days.

I also give it on the first day of the month. Cell phone reminder is a great idea

I give it on the first of the month, put the stickers on my wall calender, and have some great Facebook yorkie friends that always remind everyone on the 1st. If I think of it the night before and am worried I'll forget, I put the pill boxes on the kitchen counter so I'll see them the next day.

I give Holly her tablet on the first of every month. I also set a reminder in my phone.

i sync everything that happens on a monthly. my contacts, my bc pills & the heartworm meds.
when im done my week off of bc pills and start a fresh pack, its time to open new contacts and give the med
