| Is nice to see threads like this appear from time to time to remind everyone the dangers of Greenies. It is just amazing how they stay on the market. Consumer's believe all the stuff that's advertised however the manufactuer couldn't care two hoot's about the safety of your dog, it only want's the money from you wallet. I'd like to add NYLABONES to the above. The plastic kind not the edible kind. Just as dangerous, believe me. |

him to chew on them. Buddy was hospitalized at 1yr having bloody stools and throwing up blood. It appears the slivers of nylabone, that are suppose to pass, cut his intestines like slivers of glass. He was very sick for 4 day's in the hospital. The only thing I will allow is a natural white bone. Can be purchased in any pet store. Some have sutffing which I remove. It's important to make sure you get one that will fit the mouth of your pup. It may take time for the pup to adjust with this new strange bone since there is no flaver to it but it's safe and natural. They can be stuffed with some peantbutter smeared inside or cheese to entice them to chew.

I get the bully sticks from Dana (Baxtersmommy) and the Himalayan chews from Ryan (RDB911). The Himalayan chews are a VERY hard cheese. The bully sticks are - now don't freak out - dried bull penis. You have to be careful buying bully sticks because a lot of them stink (I'm not kidding, it's like having a stockyard inside your house). That's why I like getting them from Dana, there's almost no smell to them. AMD is another great YT seller of bully sticks. Good luck!

| Thank you both. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this information. I had a 1am phone call to the emergency hospital this morning and an 8am vet appointment. Cooper has some kind of throat infection which could have been caused by 'who knows what'. Something possibly scratched him. I will contact those sellers.

My boys have Himalayans and Merrick Wishbones (beef tendon), and Merrick Texas Toothpicks (cow tail). All are completely digestible. The Wishbones and Himalayans last my guys a long time.

| I gave Roxie a Greenie once and she threw up. It wasn't until after that incident that I saw all the info online about Greenies being bad news.
