| I have used Frontline Plus since they invented it, but, I heard rumors it's not as effective as it used to be, and I am starting to believe the rumors. I have never really tried anything else because the Frontline worked so well, but I'll be curious to see the replies to your query, as I'm in the market for 'the next best thing'. |

| We've been giving them for almost 2 yrs now. The only time that we had a reaction was right after we started them, Peanut vomited once. These pills don't affect the eggs but as soon as the fleas hatch they need to feed -from what I understand-so they bite and die. In that way it breaks the life cycle I have 5 furkids on these pills and only had the one reaction so I'm satisfied with the results, hope this helps |

| I use the comfortis also. A couple of years ago we had a really bad flea problem and that's what my vet recommended. It was amazing within a couple of hours you could see those little suckers fall off. My vet did mention the vomiting could be a side effect. I've not ran into that. I usually give it with a meal in the morning. |

| It's funny that this topic has come up. Yesterday I stopped at the vets and told them that over the New Year's holiday that my little Max "caught" some fleas from my best friends dogs. They suggested Capstar by mouth. It begins working within 30 minutes and lasts for 24 hours. I also bought some Advantage just to make double sure that all those nasty little boogers were dead and gone. It's been 17 hours since I gave him the Capstar pill and the only fleas that I've seen on him are the ones I got right after giving him the pill and those were moving really slow. He hasn't had any side affects and the most important thing is that he isn't scratching anymore. Stacey |

| Ever since I have moved to town, I have not had a flea problem. I admit it is the craziest thing you have ever heard! The only thing I can contribute it to is that my husband drowns them. Ok, I mean that as a funny because he is anal about his perfectly manicured lawn. It is treated with all sorts of yummy grass stuff and lots of water. They say fleas don't like short grass that is kept fed and watered. I know my vet thinks I am crazy when I tell him we don't have fleas but there is no evidence on my dogs as in bites, flea dirt, they don't scratch, and I am not seeing them in my house.

| it's not funny Stacey, my heart is broken already. When I saw the flea I started to feel uncomfortable all over my body. When I see Duncan scraches even more after applying frontline plus, I'm crying from the bottom of my heart already. Capstar will last up to 1 month?! I was reading it's only good for 24 hrs. I'm so lost, I dont know what I should use on Duncan. Not frontline any more though.. Is there something that u feed to dogs and flea will just dislike ur dog and keep a distance away from our cuties? Quote:

| No Capstar will not work for a month. My post said that it works for 24 hours and all of the fleas should be gone by that time. I'm sorry if I made it seem like I thought your situation is funny. All that I said is that it was funny that the post came up. I should have said that it was a coincidence. Fleas are going to happen no matter how diligent you are. The best thing is to keep Capstar or Comfortis on hand and use something like Advantage, Advantix, or Frontline. Hope Duncan feels better soon!! |

| We use Sentinel for Snickers with will kill flea eggs but doesn't necessarily prevent them. It also has heartworm meds combined in it. Snick & Viv

| Thank u` I dont really think Frontline plus work really well on Duncan. don't like any topicals getting his hair kinda messy as well. I'm gonna give yeast and garlic tablets a try, what do u think? Quote:
