| Hair Loss First let me introduce myself... My name is Mary and I have a 3 1/2 year old Yorkie named Bailey! Look forward to chatting with all of you! I've been searching the forums about my problem and although I found alot about hair loss, it did not define my problem. So here goes... For the last 2 days I'm finding 'hairballs' on my floor and a good bit of loose hair. He is not scratching or biting. Absolutely no signs of anything. He is a healthy dog, just had his checkup in August. I'm wondering if he is lacking something in his diet? He's been on Canidae dog food for about 6 months, maybe a year now. That's about all the info I can think of right now. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mary |

| This recently happened to Missy. It turned out she caught fleas at the dog park and was alergic to them, with in a few days of catching the fleas her hair was falling out. I didnt see her scratching much but anytime she did scratch her hair would bunch up in a ball and the ball of hair would drop to the ground. I took her to the vet and gave her frontline, since then her shedding problem has stopped.

| Roxy has been doing this lately too. She is constantly scratching her under arm pit area. And I have been find the little hair balls all over too. I don't think she has fleas though, I just put on the Frontline Plus about a week ago. I don't know what to do for her. I too have the pesty little fruit fly's from my house plants, I am wondering about them? |

| When Jewles was little she lost a bunch of hair on her back. She didnt havve fleas or allergies. The vet tested her for mites and she didnt have that either. They never could find a reason for it but her hair grrew back and hasnt done it again.

| Bailey can be having an allergic reaction to fleas or any other bug. I think a visit to the vet is in order. Good luck and please keep us posted. |
