Fussy fussy No eat My 13 week old is fussy. she will not eat regular kibble. Eucanuba, Spot's soap, Evengers, Royal Canin. What to do. I do not add canned as she will not in most cases eat that. As a last resort, I cooked some chicken and added small bits to kibble so she would eat something. I added small bits of beef and she turned her nose up. My MIL gives her and my German Shepherd Ham. I know I know. But grammy likes to spoil them! Any ideas. Layla is health and fast as fast can be. Loves to play and is very smart. (Potty outside!) I just want her to eat what I put down! Thanks

Unless she is really triny, just put the kibbel out, she will eat when she gets hungry. They are very smart and if they figure out that you will give them something else, they will wait for it. Yorkies will not eat all their food every day. I have 8 of them and some days they eat every crumb and other days the bowl is left half full. Just set a routine and stick to it. If you re worried about hypoglycemia, put karo in her water until you know she is eating good. But the more you fuss about it the longer she will hold out.

Cesar Milasn had an episode on where they guy was so obsessed with his dog eating that he hovered over her and the more he hovered the less she would eat. since the guy was there and watching her all the time, the dog thought that he was "claiming" the food so she would not eat it. He had the guy put the food down and walk away and the dog ate it.

| Learn from my lesson My two guys did the same thing When they were puppies they ate kibble Then all of a sudden they turned their noses up at it Now if your pup is hefty do as the others said and just put out the kibble and when they get good and hungry they will eat it But my Mike is a little guy he was three lbs when this was taking place I didn't want any health issues so I tried everything I even made a meatloaf with ground beef and chopped liver but they STILL were not really eating But my changing hteir diet upset their stomachs and made matters worse requiring 2 trips to the vets because of vomiting What I would suggest is get a good kibble mix it with a good puppy canned food and stick with that Try some plain chicken or turkey every once in awhile too

But its so hard. they have suck pretty eyes and if you gaze into them for to long you find you have fed them all of your dinner! My GSD is a big fussy butt. Big amber eyes. It hurts. My Yorkie is just so cute. She only 2 pounds and 13 weeks old. She must eat something because she still potties and acts like a "crack baby on speed". (sorry if anyone takes ofence) Maybe part of it is I am not happy with what they are getting for food. What's good. Remember I am not rich and am feeding a GSD also. (He's thin so he eats puppy also right now to put some weight on) Thanks Everyone. PS Washington Craigslist has a 10mo male Yorkie for a couple hundred bucks. I am full up or I might have taken this little guy. (Tri-cities or Portland Or not sure )
