| Ticks products Can anyone direct me to some good product to remove ticks. My little one is on Revolution and it seemed to work all summer. about a week ago I'm having tick problems. I got a shampoo and did as the directions said used it on Mia and I figured everything was ok. Today I found two other ticks. I'm going crazy because I have even been spraying her with a spray that is also suppose to remove the tick but is not working. HELP please. I don't want my baby with this problem. My boyfriend has a German Shepard and now were having the same prob with that dog too. We did the same thing with the Sheppard but we still have the problem present. I really really need help. |

| I have not really found anything that works for ticks other than controlling where I take my dog outside. The fall is a really a tough time because of all the leaf clutter everywhere. Ticks love piles of leaves and damp places and my pup loves to stick his nose in that stuff. You may want to think about where the dogs are going outside. If they are playing in the woods, under pine trees, near water, or leave piles they will pick up ticks. When I bring my pup in I brush him down on the light tile floor so I can find what falls off. Hope that helps, snow |

| I'm surprised your having such a problem with the cold weather here now......The problem with some of the flea and tick products is that they only work if the critter actually bites the host first. They're are then exposed to the toxins. Some of these products are losing their effectiveness because we are creating super bugs, the same way we are creating super bugs that are resistant to antibiotics from over use of them..... I would be very careful using a combination of products on your pet that contains toxins. They can have a cumulative toxic build up in your dogs system and can create many problems. These toxins are hardest on their liver, kidney, and thyroid and are they are cancer causing.... Since it's getting colder out you might not have to resort to these products so much. There is a very effective spray which contains cedar oils and peppermint oils, this will repel the ticks and fleas off so they don't bite them......Here is a link..... Natural Flea Control and Tick Remedy. Official TripleSure Site. Flea and Tick I saw a couple of places that recommended dragging around a couple of yards of white flannel across the vegetation in your yard so the ticks will attach themselves to it and you can then drop this in a bucket of soapy water to kill them....I have never tried this but next year I might give it a whirl and see what happens.... I hope your dogs are feeling better and this works out for them.....

| I haven't any problems with ticks since early June when Jackson was still on Frontline Plus. We are now on K9 Advantix and not one tick since June.

| Yes, the more we use the poisons, flea/tick preventatives, the more they become immune however, there is an ALL NATURAL/completely safe product that you can spray in your yard, dust on your pet and the fleas/ticks will NEVER become immune to it. Better yet, you can even eat it! Ok, I'm done with the sales pitch...LOL!! Diatomaceous Earth-Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth-Permaguard-Wholesale Price Just watch the video. We use it for EVERYTHING and it really does work. |

| i don't have a problem with ticks and the only advice i can offer is to be very very careful with topical products that claim to be all natural because the enzyme they use can be toxic to smaller dogs it can overdose there tiny little bodys just talk to your vet about any product before you use it
