My boys have been on the lamb for about a year now. They love it, never get tired of it and look really good! I got a little lazy and didn't feed it for a little while and Ranger gained some weight on his kibble, little porker I wouldn't worry about feeding one protein source. I know a lot of people rotate to prevent allergies, but one problem with that is if allergies to develop, you won't have any novel protein sources to introduce. I figure I'll feed lamb until I have to change (my vet and I compromised- he was concerned about raw like many are, but felt better about raw if it wasn't poultry. Whatev). Anyway, Ryder got sick a month ago when I was feeding strictly kibble and I was glad because he couldn't blame the raw! Anyway, I completely hate that NV sourced their meat from China. I am glad I'm not alone in that, lol! Viv- hope Snick is doing well, I haven't been on much and missed his surgery! So sorry!

| Amanda....don't apologize girl, thanks for the wishes for Snick, he is doing incredible but "thinks" he is all better and wants to move around and move fast!!!! I will look into donating the NV I have...I'm kinda bummed about how much money will be gone though I won't lie, I used the BOGO coupon on all of them so I should not feel too bad since the BOGO supposed to be a one time shot. Ok, I feel better now that I confessed that! I have almost 3 bags worth!! -Snick & Viv

| personal observation from my personal experience of feeding NV and primal, i also noticed that NV has larger pieces of bone, because milu always spit them out. LOL. (she would chew on it a little first then spit them out) also, the NV raw seem to more watery and primal seems to be more sticky in consistency. i was told by the people at the shop that primal has more vegetables then NV. i never checked and compared the ingredient list, so i can't say for sure. but primal does have more of a green color then NV. milu is eating primal right now, i give her beef, duck and chicken...and she has 7 bags of kibbles...

| I know this is off-topic but while we're on the subject of vets.. I'm lucky enough to have found a hollistic vet that advocates raw feeding! Her office is an hour away but it's not so bad since we only need to see her about twice a year anyway. She only knows about pre-made and doesn't know much about prey model (which is what we do) but hey! It's way better than nothing.

| They know the truth my dear......they SUPPOSEDLY are not for raw diets b/c sad but true--they will have less business if more dogs are on a raw diet. THIS IS NOT PROVEN, just something I overheard at one point on this forum. I MUST point out....Snick's annual vet visit came back with flying colors and I owe it all to the Raw. The vet pointed out how lovely his coat was, and said his teeth were ridiculously clean and his molars were stunning. She did his bloodwork and it all came back looking great. During Snick's LP surgery they removed his one baby canine that was retained. After the surgery, she told me "now Snick's smile and teeth are perfect!" She has never dumbed down my choice for raw, and she openly admits to not knowing much about it & diet in general, and has never had a negative thing to say. I love that about her, she is so open about things. I must openly admit...I am in love with Primal -Snick & Viv
