| Anyone feed Nutro? I recently won a bag of Nutro NATURAL CHOICE® Small Bites Lamb Meal & Rice Formula at a meetup this past weekend. Some of Nutro's reps were there and offered good info on nutrition. I was thinking of using it and wanted to read about everyone's experience with this brand. Did your yorkie like it? I saw that it got an "A" rating on the dog food grading chart. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you!

| Consumer complaints about Nutro Pet Foods I'd throw it away personally.

| Perhaps donate it to a local humane society....they feed whatever they get and it might not be even as good as Nutro

| Castor Pollux loves it Castor Pollux loves Nutro. His vet actually recommended it for him after he wouldn't eat royal. He adores it. |

| If you read this link you will realize it shouldn't be fed to any dog...I certainly wouldn't donate something that could make a dog sick or die. I bought some about a year ago and returned it to the store after reading the information in that link. |

| My babies loved it, too. I switched because the puppy formula has corn gleuten meal in it. I was using Nutro Ultra, though. I didn't notice any problems with it - just didn't want to feed the corn. As for that link - every dog food is going to have complaints. There was one posting that said Nutro saved their dogs lives. If you like the ingredients and your pups do good on a food, I would feed it. I'm actually thinking about going back to Nutro when I'm done with my Natural Balance. So far, Nutro has been what my pups like the best. |

| I'm not going to debate this because I am only responsible for the well being of my girl, but please realize that there are 146 pages of reviews on this food and a whole lot of them aren't favorable. Yes, every food has it's problems, but this is far from just a little stomach upset. The symptoms are rumored to be identical to zinc toxicity which is a funny thing since their cat food was recalled not long ago for that very thing. This isn't about ingredients. In fact, Nutro has good ingredients compared to some foods. This is about unexplained illness and death. There have even been a couple reports on YT about this. It's very sad to see that the warnings aren't being taken seriously. And maybe it has been blown way out of proportion and nothing is wrong with the food, but I can't imagine taking that chance with my girl.

| When i first got my yorkie, the previous owner had her on NUTRO and she had all kinds of skin problems.. i now have her on ROYAL CANINE and NATURES RECIPE and her skin is fabulous! i personally think NUTRO is just a glorified PEDIGREE! |
