| Metroindazole I have a 16 week old Yorkie she is absolutly spoiled already but I don't care I kinda planned on making her a princess lol. She went in for her rabies shot last Friday. Also she had blood in her stool since I got her she hasn't had diarrahea or anything but they put her on an antibiotic for Coccidia.. She is 3.5 pounds they gave her25mg twice a day. After about 5 days she started being really shaky even when shes warm and I'm holding her it seems to be her lower half only. She fine eating fine running playing being adorable. I just wondered if maybe Yorkies were just shaky or if its a reaction to the antibiotic.. Also she does this weird clicking teeth chattering thing. That started before the shot and the meds though. It doesn't seem to be a locking jaw or anything just wondering if anyone had any ideas about what it could be or if its normal. Thanks a bunch |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Metro can actually build up in the system and be tough on *some* dogs and they start to show symptoms. But I'm not sure this is what's happening w/ your dog...it sounds like maybe she should see the vet again. Does your baby have a history of hypoglycemic episodes at all? Next time she gets shaky, give her some Nutrical, or a some Karo syrup or some cracker or something to eat quick...if the shakiness goes away after that...then she was probably hypogly.
