He is doing great ,This morning he went for a walk with a bull terrier and we all met up with another woman in the green belt with a chocolate lab .To say the least he slept like a baby when we got back home ,He has good days and bad days as far as socializing goes .Sometimes he is grumpy I suppose but hey I am to sometimes laughs

Joey at 3 is much better than he was at 1, he still feels like the mighty giant, and I guess he is terrified, but won't let those other dogs know it, and barks up a storm. I've heard some people say that if a dog is barking and wagging his tail at the same time, it's fear, not aggression, and Joey does wag his tail the whole time he's barking. He had a bad experience as a puppy, at a dog park, (I took him there on the advice of a dog trainer!) Anyway, he's getting better, and he does well with the dogs that regularly visit us. He really seems happy to see those dogs.

I think your trainer is giving you bad advice. First unless your dog has a medical issue you should be giving him maple sugar - he will get addicted to the sugar and thats not good for him!! Second, I live in NY and these past few weeks have been like an early winter and Maxi shivers because its freezing. I put a sweater on him now before he goes outside and he is fine. But when it starts to get really cold, he wont be going out. He hates the cold lol

hi i have just read the posts here, hahaha ,true colours{trainer}, what happened to calm submissive, lol feel sorry for the poor dogs, hope andy doin well, my little girl knows when i am going out, eg putting my makeup on, how smart they are,, she starts to shiver then, so dam spoilt, she s my sticking plaster, and hates me leaving her, the others seem ok with it, they have the run off the house, just have to keep blinds closed or they bark at anythin passing

OMG the e-mails you guys didnt see they just kept coming all because after talking with her and getting a feel for what she would be like and what her training methods were .I guess you dont say no to that one .I was getting scared .I will stick to you guys advise (YOU ALL ROCK) to scared to even approach another trainer now.Jeez

Aandy is doing great he is laying beside me on the couch ,Yes the COUCH lmao .chewing on a bully stick .You know I just can't miagine she would have many clients .That was horrible

I don't think they regulate the industry very much. Anyone can call themselves a dog trainer, and while there are schools, I'm not sure how fussy they are in selecting students. I never noticed a thread on the topic, but it would be great to learn how to pick a trainer, what to look for and things of that nature. We all want to avoid getting "THE DOG TRAINER FROM HELL!"
