Joey at 3 is much better than he was at 1, he still feels like the mighty giant, and I guess he is terrified, but won't let those other dogs know it, and barks up a storm. I've heard some people say that if a dog is barking and wagging his tail at the same time, it's fear, not aggression, and Joey does wag his tail the whole time he's barking. He had a bad experience as a puppy, at a dog park, (I took him there on the advice of a dog trainer!) Anyway, he's getting better, and he does well with the dogs that regularly visit us. He really seems happy to see those dogs.
