Have you always fed him cat food? Cat food is not good for dogs and especially yorkies. I believe because the protien content is too high and their livers cannot process that much protein. You need to stop the cat food. How long has he gone without eating? Is he under weight.

If he is not sick, and not tiny, I would put the food out and not feed him anything else. I would not let him go over 2 days without eating. There are supplements that you can give them or pour on their food to make it taste better.

How long have you been giving him the cat food. Have you tried canned food? You can also give them boiled eggs and cottage cheese. And add some cooked carreots and green beans to the chicken. If he is really thin he might not be well. How much does he weigh? I have a 1 year old that is thin. She is a good eatwer, but just has not filled out yet.

You may want to consider trying a Raw diet (IE - Natures Variety Raw) Remy refused every kibble I tried, and we home cooked for quite some time. However it is time consuming, and you really need to work at it to get the nutritional values correct. My schedule lately has not allowed me to do so. Anyhow, we've converted to Raw. He loves it. The food disappears in less than a minute and he is always excited to eat. Our homecooking is not reduced only to treats.

Or you could try baby food. I have been hearing lately that it is food for sick or malnurished yorkies. You can get the chicken kind and that way you wouldn't have to cook for him. I am not a fan of raw diets - I tried it but didn't have much luck. Many yorkie owners LOVE feeding raw, though. I'd try the baby food...

| Jackson is PICKY to the extreme and we just found a food he had been eating dry by itself for over 4 weeks. Nature's Variety (Nature's Variety) Instinct kibble, Turkey and Duck flavor. He LOVES it! And it's a great quality food.
