| Puppy had diarrhea last night Sadie had a very busy weekend. She got microchipped, she got her nails clipped and she went out and about in her kwigy-bo with me all day Saturday and most of Sunday. Sunday, my dad gave her a tiny bit of bacon from his burger and my sister gave her a few small pieces of pretzel from a snack shop. She woke up pacing the bed and dh took her out and she went poop, she fell back asleep and in an hour she was pacing again, he took her out again and she tried to poop but he didn't see anything come out that he knew of. we put her in the kitchen ex. pen and when i got up this morning she had had diarrhea on the pee pads. i gave her a bath this morning and she's seemed fine, she ate her breakfast and played and ran around all morning like nothing was wrong. should i worry at all or chalk it up to eating some not so good items and a busy weekend out. dh is home watching her until 2pm and i get home at 5:30pm so she wont' be alone much today and will be monitored for any other problems. THANKS for the advice! |

| Yorkies have very delicate tummies and you really need to keep Sadie on kibble, water and maybe chopped apples no peal, carrots bananas dry toast. Thats it and introduce each food seperate. Bacon has too much fat and can cause pancreatitis or liver issues. Please be careful Rachel! |

| It is good to hear from you. Just this morning I was wondering how things were going. Our babies are extremely sensitive to fats. It can cause severe gastric problems and also pancreatitis. Last year Andy snatched a piece of steak fat off of a plate and gulped it down so fast I could not get it back from him. $437 later he was getting over bloody gastric problems. He was very sick. I call that his $400 piece of steak fat. Lay the law down to your friends and family, not to feed Sadie.

| i told my mom this morning that I insist NO MORE table food. this is the second time my father has made her sick, the other watermelon incident was the other where she puked four times due to that and being outside in the dirt all day. she's NOT Ruger and nothing at all like his Golden Retriever was and i can't be rude to my own dad, but he has to understand she's a VERY different breed and can't do things that Ruger did. hopefully one bought of the scoots is all she will have and hopefully no blood!! Pray for us, i'll keep an eye on her! |

| I hope you can convince your dad not to give her people food. I can see how he would think it is OK to do the same thing for all the dogs. Maybe if you printed out this page, showing the posts about what feeding improper foods can do to a Yorkie......and ask your Dad to read it.....

| Kind of the same story but don't know how to deal with this! so maybe someone can help. I went out of town this past weekend and had my boyfriend's mother watch my babies, since she is always great with them (but never had them stay over), and so in the car ride back from the airport my boyfriend's mother tells me how wonderful they were and how much they love Sweet Potato fries and that they didn't have allot just about 3 fries each again my baby is 2.5 lbs and the other is 3.5 lbs. Well let me tell you how last night was!!! Woke up at 3am with poop all over my bed and all over my little one's bed and throw up all over the room! I don't know how to tell his mother that you just can't feed yorkies anything, I know she wouldn't do it again if i told her i just don't know how to tell her in a sweet way? She is use to having big dogs so I think that's why she did that. |
