| I got Gucci at 2 mts. old they told me not to bath her, just to use baby wipes for a few weeks, and as far as taking them to groomers they have to have their shots esp. their first rabies shot. Most groomers won't let you bring them in until so... |

| Exactly ! But remember that Yorkie's hair is like human hair, there isn't an undercoat... Also, washing weekly isnt recommended as it strips away the oils and dries out the hair. I think more like every 3 or 4 weeks.... I myself use the oatmeal shampoo but I find that baby shampoo is good and doesnt strip away the oils or leave the skin dry. Every vet that i've spoken with has said its fine to wash your puppy after 8 weeks. Also, why would you have to take your puppy to the groomers just for a bath? What a waste of money, unless you are RICH ! ha ! I do everything, wash, blow dry, trip the nairs, hair around the anus, etc.... read up on how to do it and you'll save so much money. There are resources on the web that also teach you how to trim your dogs hair. I however prefer to grow the coat out long.
