| Let me know how it goes. I will be praying for you and Lucky! I have to take Cooper for a second set of shots in about a week. His first shots were given by the breeder so I didn't have to see him cry. I've been with my beagle-mix to get shots, but he is bigger. Maybe we are worrying for nothing.

| Chances are he will do just fine!!!! A word of caution - it is highly recommended they only get ONE shot at each visit and it should contain only the core recommended vaccines. Lepto, Corona and several others that might be recommended could be totally unnecessary and/or have a greater risk of harmful reaction than any benefits of the vaccine.

| Lucky will be OK! It's always harder on us , then our babies ! Not one time have I brought any of my animals in for a vaccination that they ever had a hard time with . However, ME, Oh goodness, I am a wreck! Your vet will take good care of your baby.

| I just had Doodlebug at the vet for his shots and had them divide them between 2 visits. Rabies at the first and the other combo about 2 weeks later. He didn't even notice the shot itself it was how he left later that day and the next as well. He had a reaction when he was a very small puppy so I give him 12.5 mg of Benadryl about 1 hours before he goes. I believe you pup is still too small for the rabies vaccine if this is his only his second set of shots. I don't believe they do a heartworm blood draw on a puppy and just give the preventative.

| I always make sure Ella cant see me when she is getting a shot and then as soon as they say I can get her, I do..... and that way she doesnt associate the shots with me! I am just the one that saves her lol

| Be prepared for a sleepy baby! Maddie slept the ENTIRE day after her first round of shots. I was able to get some housework done, though Good luck! I was nervous the first time too. As long as the vet gives her a treat to eat while they give her the shot, your baby will do fine! |
