I just had Doodlebug at the vet for his shots and had them divide them between 2 visits. Rabies at the first and the other combo about 2 weeks later. He didn't even notice the shot itself it was how he left later that day and the next as well. He had a reaction when he was a very small puppy so I give him 12.5 mg of Benadryl about 1 hours before he goes. I believe you pup is still too small for the rabies vaccine if this is his only his second set of shots. I don't believe they do a heartworm blood draw on a puppy and just give the preventative.
