| hated to do it Well I had to break down and give more poor baby frontline, she had been digging, scratching, and biting at herself. Although I didn't see any fleas on her I did find some flea dirt in her bedding. I could only give her half of the amount because she runs around like shes having a seizure. Next time I plan to use peppermint oil. Gracie and Kellie |

| Please be careful if you are using flea medication any sooner than the normal monthly dose. Also I want to warn people about using over the counter medications along with the normal dose of frontline. I just lost my beloved Sunnie on 7/31 most likely from a reaction to over the counter flea medications along with frontline. The frontline does not seem to be the problem, but there is no way to prove it was just the over the counter medication (a spray) either. All I know is 3 vets have looked at his bloodwork and his veteranary notes from the last hours of his life and all agree that the flea medication is most likely what killed him.

| Someone on here wrote about using Dawn dish detergent and Apple Cider Vinegar as a rinse to help control fleas. Since I have used everything else, Frontline, Vectra, Flea Shampoo, etc, I thought what the hey. Well, after 3 baths, they no longer have fleas. They have not had frontline since the middle of July (which didn't help the flea situation), but either I finally conquered any that were still in the house, or this regime works. I dliute the ACV to 1/2 and 1/2. I give them a bath about every 6 days or so. Once I am sure fleas are gone for good, we'll go back to 7 to 10 days. My babies are Isabel, 7yrs, and Moses, 1 yr. |

| I use Minksheen Shampoo on all three of my girls and none of them have ever had a flea...not even one. Some people find the scent of this shampoo a little strong but, it's not bad and the day after bathes I barely smell it...and it's not a bad scent either (to me, that is) I second what others here have warned about with flea protection medications...buyer beware! Believe me, those companies do not care if your pet dies from an adverse reaction...they're only in the business of sales. Discuss this with your Veterinarian and see what he/she recommends. Don't worry about bothering them for such a simple thing like this either...that's why they're your Vet and it's something so simple as this that could be the cause of something so preventably (new word?) tragic. Take care!
