I use Minksheen Shampoo on all three of my girls and none of them have ever had a flea...not even one.
Some people find the scent of this shampoo a little strong but, it's not bad and the day after bathes I barely smell it...and it's not a bad scent either (to me, that is

I second what others here have warned about with flea protection medications...buyer beware! Believe me, those companies do not care if your pet dies from an adverse reaction...they're only in the business of sales.
Discuss this with your Veterinarian and see what he/she recommends. Don't worry about bothering them for such a simple thing like this either...that's why they're your Vet and it's something so simple as this that could be the cause of something so preventably (new word?) tragic.
