| Switched Uni over to Wellness The fancy Petco over by my shop carries it. I got the small breed super mix 5 i think it's called. i gave her one piece and she took it right away. Let's see how long until she gets tired of it Those pieces are so tiny though, I thought maybe I would have to give more, but the feeding directions says the same 1/2 per day. I sprinkled the Cosequin on top, and she knew it was there. Still ate it though. Let's hope this will help with her itching. She is always itching and breaks her hair It wasn't even that much more, about $1 more a bag than what i was paying before. And to think Royal Canin is like $20+/bag and it's not even that good of a food... Should i put the fish oil on the dry kibble or mix it into cottage cheese like I have been doing? She seems to hate the fish oil more and more every day.

| Scooter has been on Wellness for over a year now. I don't give him fish oil and since switching to Wellness, his coat is really soft on its own. At one point, the food (pre-Wellness) he was on made his coat wirey and not so soft. We found Wellness and love it. I switch the kind (flavor) every once and a while. Right now, we are blending Super5Max Chicken and Wellness Core (Original). You may find you don't need the fish oil which will make your baby happy. Maybe try without it for a while and see how it goes. On the itching matter, because Scooter was on it, I convinced my mom to try it with her dog (standard poodle) who had serious itching issues. She was using special shampoo, giving Roscoe allergy meds, etc. You name it and she tried it. She was desperate for something new that would work. She tried Wellness after lots of pushing from me (it is harder to find in her area than it is here). Long story short, Roscoe is happy and itch free since my mom made the switch. She doesn't do any supplements and he no longer takes any meds. I think you will like Wellness. Good luck!

| I forgot to mention that Scooter eats mostly dry food. Wet food is an occasional treat for a meal. I add chicken or other home made treats as a topper for dinner.

| We feed grain free and so far haven't had to use any supplements. I rotate between foods but most of the time we feed Wellness CORE and we love it! Franklin and Maggie have just the CORE for breakfast and then at dinner we mix in some Wellness 95% just to add some variety. My babies love it and I'm sure yours will too.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | morgan loves her wellness small breed and the wellness core original. I add the cosequin on top too and she gets coconut oil drizzled on top. gobbles it right up. I used to give fish oil a while ago and she wasn't crazy about it but this coconut oil is a different story. greatest thing in the world to her. do you have a Whole Foods near you? that is where i get Morgans coconut oil.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | its called Garden of Life Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. It was a little pricey but lasts a long time because i'm only giving 1/4 of a tsp a day (morgan is 4.5-5lbs, not really sure anymore LOL)

| Wellness Small Breed Adult has Salmon Meal as the 3rd ingredient, Menhaden Fish Meal 10th ingredient and Salmon Oil as the 15th ingredient. May be you would not need to add the oil if you feed this food.

| Both of my yorkies eat wellness small breed. However, recently I have started them on raw food as well. Nature's Variety has a whole line of pre packaged raw food and their website has a feeding chart that will tell you exactly how much to feed based on weight, age, and activity level. I have read that feeding raw foods, such as Nature's Variety have helped animals with food allergies or skin conditions. Neither of my yorkies have these problems but I wanted to try feeding raw. My one still only eats Wellness and the other almost all raw (sometimes she supplements with some wellness). Overall we have been very happy with wellness and I feel guilty I can't afford to feed my german shepherd it as well.
