| ? about Frontline Plus I started Frontline Plus last month on May 15th, but only put on 1/2 the dose, because it says "up to 22 lbs." and Apple weighs about 4 lbs. 3 ounces...Unfortunately, I can't wait 'till the 15th to put it on her again, 'cause she has fleas!!! I was just wondering at what weight other people use a whole dose on their little ones, and if everything seems to be o.k. w/that? Just scares me to death to put something on my little girl that would work for a dog four times her size....Thanks for your input.... |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Some grooming products can make frontline ineffective. I used to split the dosage without losing any effectiveness. I would think splitting it every 15 days would be better than a full dose every month.

| I wonder.... I bought the "Frontline Plus" for my baby a few months ago. I have applied two applications since I bought it. I purchased a box that has 3 applications in it. I read to use it once a month, 3 apps. a package cost me around $45 bucks! However, the vet said I could possible use it once every other month, but I don't trust that in the summer months. We have plenty of dogs, mosquitos, etc. you name it around us. So I've been using it every month. So far, THANK GOD, my baby is just fine. Anyway, I wanted to comment on the directions per box. The have the weight of the dogs as to what box to use. The one I use says it's for dogs up to 22lbs! My dog is 8.5lbs and this is the box my vet recommended. And he said to use the ENTIRE package at a time. So this is how I use it. Each box has different weight requirements. All dogs under and up to 22lbs is the box I use, tho. I was concerned about my dog using it and he is nowhere near 22lbs. However the vet said it was designed to be used this way..If you find out something different, please share your info. =)

| I wanted to take my baby to Petco for a bath and a cut right after applying the frontline plus, but not only did I read it on the box, but the groomer told me also that It is a waiting period once applied before wetting, washing, etc. the dog or it will rinse it off! (I forgot how many days it is to wait, tho). I think I will call the vet again to see if I can split the dosage, it would be more affordable for me if I could..

| I only use half the Frontline Plus for TJ and Roxy. TJ weighs 7 lbs and Roxy 5 lbs. I can't fathom that the same dose goes for them as a 22 lbs dog (no way) |

YT 2000 Club Member | I use the Frontline Spray instead because Jasmine is so small, 2 lbs 6 ounces at 5 1/2 months old. I just spray a couple of times, rub into her hair, and that is all. On Prissy, our toy poodle, I pump about 5 times on her and that works for her. The bottle is $ 57.00, so it is much cheaper than the Frontline that is in the tube thingys. It has an odor, but when it dries (which it dries fast) there is no odor and it does NOT stain fabric. Anyway this works for us.

| Thanks for all the great input...Now I need to know one more thing...I know you can't bathe your baby right after you apply the frontline, but how long after you do bathe (and dry) should you wait to apply the frontline, or could you do it, as soon as they are dry? Thanks a bunch! p.s...Ms. Apple just had her bath... |
