Yay! I bet you'll love it. Sugar is my only one with skin problems but I give it to all 3 and have seen a difference in Gracie and Spike's coat also. Just give it a month or so to see a difference.

Like Nikki said, I do love the Ark Naturals - it not only has the fish oil (fatty acids EPA/DHA), but also has borage oil - which gives LA and GLA, both of which can be really beneficial for atopy / skin issues. It also already has the E in it, so you don't need an extra supplement just for that.

i also use this because ann recommended it for milu's dry skin.
i have a question though.

do you guys actually measure the amt you add to their food or do you just kind of eye ball it. i know the direction says like 1/8 of a teaspoon or something like that. but is it a big deal if you just give them whatever amt. as long as it's not excessive? like not a full teaspoon of it.

i don't know how much a 1/8 teaspoon is, and i don't have a spoon that measure 1/8 teaspoon.

also, the bottle of fish oil looks like a lifetime supply of it if you are only supposed to use so little each time!

they should offer smaller bottles!

no she doesn't itch- well if she does it is from her allergies- but the skin on her little belly and around her back legs- thigh area- is very very dry- the skin is always coming off or cracking.

I do eyeball it. I first got a "feel" for the right dosage, then eyeballed after that. Giving a bit too much or too little shouldn't hurt. But, giving wayyyy too much could be too high in fat.

I know about the bottles! I get the 8oz bottle and use it for both boys and it still lasted me about 6 months, at least!

I do the same as Ann. I measured it the first few times but quickly realized that it's a few drops, no measuring spoon required.
