| OMG!!! I didn't brush teeth for a week and AAHHHH!!! I was super busy this last week, and disregarded my usual every-other-day teeth brushing routine for Ella. I went to brush her teeth yesterday, and it seems they are starting to get a little discoloration on some of them towards the bottom! I hate myself...! Is this gonna go away if i keep scrubbing every day??? |

| I'm just curious, does she mind you brushing her teeth? Are you suppose to start this as a puppy? I hope my little one does not mind brushing.. |

| Layla isn't crazy about getting her teeth brushed but it is what we do and she knows that- fighting won't get her anywhere.... I started when Layla was a puppy and now we do it every morning and usually at night too- just to get her teeth back to being white. Small breed dogs are notorious for having bad teeth and as they get older- if they are not properly taken care of- they may have to be pulled. |

| Ella is definitely not in love with it either...but now that this has happened, we are definitely going to have to buckle down to maybe even twice a day like you mentioned....What tooth paste do you use? I'm just wondering, because they are all very different... And as for the question, I have done Ella's teeth since day one, so as much as she dislikes it, she knows its just part of the routine... |

| teeth I used to use special pet toothpaste from Petsmart, a mixture of Q-tips/finger 'brushes' ( like finger cots with 'brushes' on them, Petsmart) and eyebrow brushes. Plus lots or persuasion and grief from my dog!!! She still needed Vet cleaning every year in spite of everything I did. LOL. |

| I use gloves that have little bristles on the thumb and pointer finger. Mine hate getting their teeth brushed but I feel like I have better control using my fingers over a brush. I have tried it all. I am on the look out for better toothpaste though. Right now I can't think of the name of the stuff I have and it might be ok, I don't know. I got it at Petco.

| The only way I can get to Snickers' back teeth is with my finger wrapped with gauze. It works great!! I use a child's super small toothbrush for his front teeth which he despises!! I have to give keep saying "cheese" while I brush his teeth for him to cooperate!! Of course he loves his few shreds of cheese he gets afterward.

Thor's Human Donating Member | I use a cat toothbrush for Thor. They are much smaller. Now that Thor lets me really brush his teeth, I am anxiously watching to see if his back teeth will go back to white... sigh. Sometimes it seems like they are just getting yellower. At least his breath is good. I notice a difference if I skip just one day.
