| Do yorkies have moles? Ok so my about 6 month old yorkie has what seems to be a small mole or scab on his little chest (two actually). To my knowledge it is not a tick (i have seen several on other animals and on me over the years ), didnt just appear there, doesn't move, isn't getting bigger (noticed it this morning), and there is another almost identical one about an inch below it..but smaller....he doesnt seem to be bothered by it, but I cant get it to disolve with a wet wipe, etc on it. I tried scratching it gently and it wont go down/away or pick off at all....I dont know if its always been there, but Ive never noticed it (them) before. Do yorkies get/have moles? I swear thats what it seems like..... Another thing i thought is his new harness irritating him, but again it doesnt seem to bother him, even lets me pick and try to clean/see it, and never bothers with it on his own either. Any ideas? Right now Im thinking Ill just watch it for a few day and see what happens.

| When I went to look at Yorkies to adopt. There was one really pretty little girl, who was a very light silvery blue, she too had 2 moles on her. I found them and as I was looking the rescue lady told me they were moles and the vet said they weren't hurting anything. I don't know any info first hand about it though. |

| I use to think Juicy had moles on her belly but the vet told me those were her nipples..silly me. Maybe they are his nipples too?

| Yes, Yorkies can have moles. My Piccolo has one on the inside of her leg. Since she goes regularly to the Vet Dermatologist, I showed it to her and asked her if I should be concerned. The Doc told me not to worry about it, as long as it stays flat, not raised. So, I learned something new that day.

| Thanks for the insight ladies...it is definately not a nipple(s). They are much higher than the other nipples and differ in size from each other and the other nipples. Im going to keep watching them and see what happens, and bring it to the vets attention next time were in

| Teddy has a little mole on his chest (sorta between his shoulders) and 3 more down on his belly near his hips. They look almost like freckles but they're bumpy. The vet said they were nothing to worry about. Teddy never even seems to notice them. I'm definitely the worrier not him! |

YT 500 Club Member | I'm so glad I just stumbled on this thread. I just noticed that Meg has moles (???) under her chin and on her cheeks. They are white bumps and really remind me of calcium deposits. THey are definitely raised little bumps, and the same color as her skin. I am really nervous about them actually, and I am going ot ask the vet about it at our apt next week.
