| Does anyone know? I think that my dog got shaved too short!!! I went to a groomer, wanted to shorten my dogs hair and it ended up with my dog getting completely shaved, so the skin is almost visible. I got extremely upset with the groomer but whats been done has been done. My problem is that she seems to be freezing all the time now and I am not sure if it can't be harmful for her to be so shaved. What about the sun on the skin? Can she get more hurt playing with other dogs etc. Is there anyone that knows about the dangers she can be exposed to because of too shortly shaved hair.? Please help. Thanks |

I'm so sorry the groomer gave your baby a hack job, good thing is it will grow back. If your dog seems cold then you can put a sweater on her, and i'm sure that they would be colder with hardly any hair to keep them warm. The skin is more exposed and she will be likely to get sunburn, the best thing to do would be to get some sunblock as well as making sure that she isn't out in the sun very long. As far as getting hurt by other dogs, I don't think you will run a risk of any injury that would have been different if she didn't have shaved hair. I really can't think of any other precautions that you would need to know

| I doubt that it can be harmful to your baby. I sure understand why your so worried, I would hate if my baby was fully shaved too =(. I have heard that the fur protects the skin from the sun, but nothing bad.

| So annoying when a dog gets shaved without your permission. I would pick her up a sweater and if you can find a white or light colored tshirt that she can wear when out in the sun it will keep her from getting sunburned. The good thing is the hair will grow back pretty quickly and then I would look for a new groomer!
