Donating YT 10K Club Member | Yes. I hope I never have to learn the ultimate pro's...having my dog returned should he become lost or having to prove his is MY dog.

| Both of mine are! The pro is that if someone takes your dog you can prove its yours. If it gets lost and someone finds it and takes it to the vet it can be scanned and your pet be recovered. The con is that there is a rumor that dogs can get cancer at the injection site but it hasnt been proven.

| Jackson is chipped. I don't see any cons.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I saw too many dog movies as a child with someone in a courtroom trying to prove the dog was theirs. For most dogs this would be pretty easy, they come running up the their true owner, but with Yorkies, they are lots more fickle, and probably think you want to brush them, so they would run to the stranger. Joey's been chipped, millions of dogs have been returned due to this technology. It's probably more important if you travel much with the dog, or you live in certain areas that could be prone to natural disasters, but I love the peace of mind it gives me.
