| Bad News Good News As you may or may not remember. I dropped Mollie off this morning for what I thought was going to be just a tooth extraction and a possible cleaning. She had also started bleeding a little over the weekend and my husband thought she was going into heat again. So I mentioned that to the vet tech this morning so that the vet could check her out. Well I just got off the phone with the vet a little while ago and Mollie has to be spayed because she said she either has a uterine infection or a placenta that was not delivered still inside her. She wasn't sure which but she was able to see well enough because her cervix was still open because she is a little swollen. So, she has put her on IV's fluids and antiobotics and will spay and do the tooth extraction tomorrow while she is under. I told her to do whatever she needed to do to make sure that my baby was going to be ok. I was orginally suppose to take her in tomorrow but I called to see if they could get her in earlier. I'm sure glad that I did. Who know's how long this has been brewing and she hasn't acted like she feels bad she has been her normal playful self over the last couple of weeks. I'm glad I got her there today, so they can take care of her and do what they need to do. So, I will not be picking her up until tomorrow afternoon. Everyone just keep her in your thoughts. I'm sure she will be fine. But, I'm still going to be a nervous wreck until I hear from them tomorrow after her procedure. Sorry this is so long.

| I am sorry to hear about Mollie but it's a good thing that you were attentive enough to realize there was a problem so she could be taken care of immediately. Our thoughts will be with you both and please keep us updated on how she is doing!

Yeah I know. It makes me sick to my stomach because, I almost waited til tomorrow to take her in. When I think about the difference 24hrs would have made. I almost start to cry. At least she is now getting the help she needs to get better. That is the most important thing.

| Sheila, I am so sorry to hear about poor Mollie. It's just a good thing that you noticed that something was up, otherwise it could off ended up worse. But I'm sure that she will come out of surgery in good health. Please let us know how she is doing after the procedure. I will keep her in my prayers. Keep your chin up.

| Oh, no! I'm so sorry that happened. She's such a pretty little girl. It's really lucky you took her in today. Somewhere, deep inside, you must have suspected something wasn't right. I hope she'll do OK. I know they'll take good care of her for you.

Dr. Baker did tell me that she was doing fine when I talked to her not to worry, that we definitely caught this in time. But, that she wanted to give her the rest of today on some IV antibotics before she does the actual procedure in the morning. So I trying to stay positive. This is like the third or fourth dog that I have had spayed but never under these circumstances. I know in my heart that she will be fine. But that doesn't matter. You still worry. She is a much my child as my boys. Thanks everyone. I will keep you posted on her progress.

| Coco sends hugs, kisses, licks and butt sniffs to Mollie. She will do great but I understand that until you hear that she's good and hold her, you will be stressed. I understand your stress and hope that our prayers will calm you until you hold your sweet baby.

| Mollie I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad that you listened to your motherly instincts and decided to take her early, that is truly a blessing. I will keep you and her both in my thought and prayers; so that you will have a peace through all of this. I know that Mollie will be fine and she'll be home before you know it. Please, keep us informed!! |

I just got off the phone with the vet's office and the estimate is between $350-$400 oh well. There goes some of the puppy money that we had earmarked for something else. So, I guess I will be putting in on my credit card and then when we sell puppies pay it off. They said Mollie was doing fine. Good thing is that after 6 or 7 pm they have an emergency vet clinic that is there until 7 am so someone will be there all night and they can keep an eye on her. So I won't have to worry as much and of course I will be calling later to check on her and see how she's doing. They said she was just laying in the cage watching everybody. This will be overwith before we know it. I just feel awful that this happened to her. But, we will have it taken care of tomorrow. Some more good news. The vet tech I spoke with said she looked at Mollies teeth and she doesn't think that they will have to do a cleaning just clean up a little around where they have to pull the puppy teeth. So that is some good news. Thanks for all of your thoughts and good wishes. I really appreciate it. My husband of course thinks I'm nuts because I tend to worry more than he thinks I should. But I know he is worried as well. That's his little girl. The only little girl that he has other than our grandaughter.

| Mollie Well I just had to call and see about Mollie again. She is doing fine. She is sitting up in the cage just looking around and being a good girl. So I feel better now and I will probably call again later just to check on her again. Just wanted to give everyone an update. I will let everyone know tomorrow after the procedure how she is doing. Thanks again for everything guys. The did go ahead and say it was possible pyometria(sp) I figured that's what it was but just didn't think to ask before because, I was just totally floored by what the vet was telling me. But I trust her I've been going to her for a couple of years now and I know Mollie is in very good hands. That makes all the difference in the world. When you trust who is taking care of your baby.
