Thanks but, she won't be having her surgery until sometime late morning tomorrow.

OMG that can be fatal and I'm SO GLAD she's doing better !!! I just now saw this and sending your baby BEST Wishes and big kisses - I hope she gets better soon and comes back home to those adorable babies !

Just wanted to give everyone an update on Mollie, I spoke with the vets office this morning and they told me she was doing fine and that the doctor didn't do any surgeries until between 11:00 - 12:00 this is when they are on their lunch break. I guess as not to interfer with their other patients. Unless an emergency comes up and they need to do it sooner.

But, Mollie was fine and she was scheduled between 11:00 and 12:00 so everybody keep their fingers crossed. The doctor or the vet tech will then call me when she gets finished.

I'm going to be so stressed waiting. So I'm just going to get off of here and do some laundry much needed and clean house some and probably put on some spaghetti for supper tonight.

Sorry for rambling. Just wanted to keep everyone updated. I will post again as soon as I hear from the vet.

I am so sorry left over placenta is very dangerous and can easily cause a deadly infection, thank god your vet caught it. After whelping your mom acting listless or not acting her playful self is a most likely sign of an infection ..A piece of placenta as tiny as a dime can cause an infection.

Shecass food for thought; its best the day after whelping to take your girl in for a clean out shot (Oxitosen) I do it with all of my kids as an precaution.

I hope you girl is doing fine today.

The vet said that more than likely it is pyometria(sp). So she is going to be getting spayed today as well as teeth extracted. This was the first litter of puppies that we had done. She never acted like she felt bad she was acting her normal self after she got over being tired from having the puppies. Over the past few weeks she had gotten to where she wanted to play all the time again. Even when I took her in yesterday, she hadn't been acting like she felt bad.

It's official I will be picking Mollie up after 4:00 today. I can't wait. Ethan asked me when he got home from school yesterday if we were going to get Mollie and I had to tell him no that she had to stay another night. He said Oh Man.

He was excited because I told him this morning before he left for school that we would be picking her up after he gets hom today. So the first words out of his mouth when he walks in the door will be let's go get Mollie. I will have to hold him off for a while because he get's home at 3:00 so that may be hard.

Anyway, when I called to check on her this morning and to get the total so, I wouldn't have a heart attack right there in front of them. The lady I spoke with said she had just been back to check on Mollie and she was wagging her tail and when she went to pet her she was giving her kisses. So, I know what's in store for me when I do go get her today and I can't wait.

Im so happy Mollie is doing so well. I bet you are getting lots of kisses when she sees you today. You both were so lucky it was caught on time. I can just imagine the reunion with her pups, lots of kisses.
