| ![]() Hey ladies! Well, somewhere around 1am I was forced to join Zoe and my boyfriend in bed. ![]() P.S. I am still catching fleas. My newest theory, since she's clearly INFESTED, is that wherever my boyfriend walked her on his Dad's property was in fact FLEA CENTRAL. She must have had a whole boat load jump ship and on to her during that walk, it's the only explination (since she had NO fleas before going over there). After breakfast we're going to head to the vet so hopefully we'll get some answers there! Thanks again for ALL of your comments, it's meant a lot to me and while I'm still worried and stressed at least I have some ideas in mind now!

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | ![]() About the flea thing, could the frontline stopped working because of the swimming? I often wander about these drops that go on the coat especially as they get baths roughly every fortnight.Anyway Im sure fleas are the least of your worries. Im concerned about finding a good vet for Tia if she should need it while were on holiday too ,it must be scary for you. Please keep us updated about Zoe.

| ![]() Hi all! Well we have now made a trip to a local vet (not the one we'd planned, one even closer and recomended by local family). The vet was out for lunch but a tech was on hand. We got a few Capstar pills, just in case. She got one already and I was so happy to find TONS of dead fleas all over her toys in her carrier when I took her out. Dead fleas make me happy! ![]() She's acting pretty much herself now. Still no "talking" but otherwise exactly her normal self. I'm playing it by ear, since the tech really thought Zoe's stressed out weird state yesterday was due to having so many fleas! I didn't think she needed X-rays or another trip to be able to see the vet just yet. That said I feel comfortable that if god forbid she was not okay tonight/tomorrow we'd go back and demand a vet visit. Otherwise we're doing well. I've got to find their vacuum so I can start to rid their house of fleas and avoid continuing the cycle here....

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | ![]() Glad things are looking up . Maybe she will need a worm tablet after all those fleas , chances are she has swallowed one being so many of them. ![]()

| ![]() Thanks so much everyone for the advice, thoughts, and good wishes! I am very happy to report that little Zoe is back to 100% herself! ![]() Yesterday she had a total blast! First off: NO FLEAS (a few dead ones that somehow didn't fall off between the capstar and a rigorous bath)! She was totally alert, playful, and talkative. She ate both meals, drank plenty, and peed at normal intervals. We even went on a boat ride (her very first) and she had so much fun! Who knew there could be such a thing as too many smells or too much wind at once? ![]() So I'd like to happily report Zoe is her usual self again, a bit bratty at times, a bit rambunctious, sometimes really loud, but my little angel once again! P.S. When we get home I'll share the pictures I took of her on the boat and wearing her life jacket. I didn't get any pictures or video of her swimming, if she goes swimming today I will though!

Yorkie Yakker | ![]() hello from Istanbul everyone ![]() 3 days ago we picked up our little puppy DOLCE (4 months old) Since then I have looked at sooOOOoooo many sites ...and honestly I'm not sure what to do and not to do. Reading through peoples comments and advice here gave me a good feeling. And I thought that this is where I should come and get the advice I need. ![]() I'm glad to hear that Zoe is ok now ![]() As I mentioned DOLCE is 4 months and has been with us for 3 days. We continued the same feed and he was eating in the pet shop from where we purchased him 'PURİNA PRO PLAN for puppies (salmon)' (about 1 1/2 table spoons). He ate his 3 meals on his first day with a couple of small treats in between. However on the second day he would not touch his food....but he would accept his treats !!!???? I decided to modify his feed with another flavor..this time lamb PRO-PLAN and added a little chicken to it with a tiny bit of parmesan cheese!!!!! NOTHİNG Then I tried a new batch this time...1/2 lamb PRO-PLAN and 1/2 canned puppy food......and.....he ate about a small tea spoon amount of it....a llittle more from my finger. I also stopped the treats cause I thought that maybe he was getting too used to it and I was over doing it with the treats. I also give him DUO-JUNİOR multi-vitamin once a day. I would really like to know how much should he be given for each feed...am I giving him too much and expected to much from him? The next question :S he was born on the 10th Jan according to his vac certificate he was given Eurican DHPPP on the 1st of March and then Eurican DHPPP-L and DHPPI - L on the 20th of march. So between the 20th and now he has not had any futher shots......when should we get his next shot? The VETS here are telling me different things and I don't feel confident with any of the info...... I have a maltese back home in Australia and I never came across this with her (I miss her sooOOOoooOOOo much ) in the 9 years I had her with me.....and Mum has never had any challenges with her. I'm sorta worried that even with the research I did before adopting Dolce that I may not be doing the right things :S We play alot...and he runs around alot......and then I read not to do this cause of hypoglycemia and sugar levels..... Or should I relax a bit? Cause I'M really not enjoying this experience.......we are sooOOOooo glad to have him in our home. OK that's it ...sorry if it was a bit long :P thanks |
