| we had a little accident today we were trimming the hair under her belly and we snipped her IT cut all the way through the layers of skin. we rushed her to the Emergency vet and she got a little staple I feel so bad but she is on antibiotics and can get the staple removed in a week.

| Milo got nicked at the groomers on his belly, we went to the vet and they did not give stiches because of the placement of the cut. What they did do is give us antibiotics and a powder to put on it. I kept insisting he way not licking it, but the vet suggested putting a onsie or t shirt on him. Not more than 12 hours later it looked much better. Try not to feel bad, my Vet told me that the belly is the most common place for this to happen. My groomer called me crying when this happened to let me know and when I asked the Vet if I brought him in right away or if the groomer did would it have made a difference and she said no. So, it happens to the best I know you feel , but remember it is very hard to trim a moving target. |

| i just nicked my little puppy on her knuckle...i feel like the worst mommy ever and i'm still in tears, i hurt her, i feel awful...i should know better than to even try to trim her anywhere, i'm terrible with cutting hair. i get whack happy and think i'm doing good and then slip, i hurt her....never again will i take scissors to my dog...only the trimmers to the hubbie cause i'm good at his hair. if the groomer won't groom her until she's had all her shots, how else do i get her pads and nails trimmed, her butt needs trimmed too, what do i do? |

| Find a groomer that will...I did...At the risk of putting my head on the chopping block, I'm going to tell you that I'm not at all about giving Apple a rabies shot...She's had all her DHPP shots, because I think the risks outweigh the potential complications of the shots, but I don't think the risk of rabies is higher than her risk of complications from the shot...so there'ya'go, I found a groomer that would do her, w/out the rabies shot...And look at her first haircut in the avatar...soooo cute |
