Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | They may have done a blood draw there, which is not atypical in smaller dogs. Or, was she on ECG? Sometimes to get a good vector, they place ECGs in odd places...

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Her strange sounding bark is probably due to the tubing placed in her throat for the anesthesia. It irritates the throat and will get better. Agree with Wylie's mom...the shaved area was probably where they placed an electrode sensor.

| Usually in emergency hospital settings blood draws are done on the juglar if they are on IV fluids so the veins in the legs are kept good for further IV use if needed.
