I am so glad that your baby is finally home and on his way to recovery. I honestly canNOT imagine what you are going through. I know that this has got to be very stressful for you. I agree! It would so much easier if we could just talk with them. lol. Hot Rod does look like he's smiling in that picture. I hadn't noticed. :)

I am glad! I told you that you would feel so much better. You poor girl, you have double the whammy of keeping them still and quiet. Maggie is just as rambuncous (sp) as ever! She just runs and bounces all over the place trying to play with Hot Rod. I've been putting her in the expen when I feed Hot Rod and she hates it! She whines and cries the entire time.

Poor little Ranger, he'll perk up in day or so and bounce back to normal in no time!

Yes, I am glad I did it, now. How about you? Any misgivings?

Maggie is such a little sister. She WUVS her big brother, even though he is mean to her sometimes! She is such a sweetheart. She misses playing and swapping bully sticks with him. lol.

NONE!! I explained it all in Ranger's thread (don't want to hijack yours). Poor Maggie, she is just a DOLL by the way, I love the pic of them sunning!!

Awww, thanks. He's doing well. I just feel so bad for him, he does not want to be in his crate! I tried to put him in after breakfast and he didn't want anything to do with it! Last night is was so squirmy in my arms, he want so much to play with Maggie, that I had to put him back in his crate. :( Hubby took him in the garage and let him stretch his legs. He still wasn't "talking" to me this morning. :eek: lol.

It's going to be a very long 4 weeks and 6 days! :p

Hot Rod is soooo ready to get out of his crate and play. Poor baby looked so pathetic the other night, he had his litte cute nose right in the corner of the crate looking at me. I melted and stopped whatever it was I was doing and took him out and held him. I couldn't resist that sweet little face. :cry8:

5 more weeks of this. It is going to be a very, very long 5 weeks! :(

Hey everyone, Hot Rod used his little leg to potty! He hobbled around the pad and then decided to put his leg down and took 2 steps! He picked it up and hobbled some more and put his leg down again and took a step and picked it up!!! I wanted to make sure it wasn't just a fluke but he did it the next potty break too! Yay! Happy dance!

AWESOME!!! :D Go Hot Rod GO!! :cheer: See girl, I told ya he would start using it in no time! :D And now that he's seen that he CAN use it, he will more than likely start to use it more and more often ;) I AM SO PROUD!! Hugs to that sweet boy from me and the Tator Tot! :hug:

As you should be! :D This is a big moment for the little guy and one that mommy should most certainly be proud of! :D And I know you are indeed VERY proud....just as I was when I saw Tat use her left leg :D Geez...I am just so darn happy with our little stinkers...I could just BURST!!!! :D I am just so, so thrilled that they all seem to be doing PRETTY DARN GOOD! :D

Surgery was a week ago Tuesday so that is 9 days. He's still a little apprehensive and hobbling mostly but hopefully he will learn that he can use it. I am letting him stretch his legs a little after potty break, just walking (hobbling) from the back of the garage to the front. He's got to be cramped up just laying down and only being able to turn around in his crate. :(

Doing the happy dance!

Hot Rod ate with his foot on the throw rug. I know he was using it cause he had his other foot off of the throw rug so it was lower on the floor. And then my baby walked almost 2 feet using his leg! Yay! He is on his way. Whew! The dr. had said that we shouldn't be surprised if he wasn't using his leg by his 2 week checkup. His incision looks really, really good too. I am so happy and relieved!

Thanks everyone for all their well wishes, prayers and thoughts. It has definitely helped. It is great to be able to have the support of those who know just how precious these little ones are! Love you guys! Hot Rod wants everyone to know that he's trying to get well too so he can run around and chase Maggie May! :D

Yaaay Hot Rod! What a little trooper. This is the first I've seen this, and the pics of him right after surgery are precious. What a sweetie-pie. I'm so glad that things are moving along!!!!

I'm just ESTATIC for Hot Rod!! This is sooo awesome!!! :D CONGRATS little one...you will be using that leg like normal again in NO TIME! ;) Keep up the good work and progress so that you can make mommy and daddy (and US!) proud! :hug: We love you sweetie.....GOOD JOB!!! :bravo:
