| Umbilical Hernia Surgery Experience Does anyone have any experience with this surgery and have any information about the recovery time? She has about 10 staples in her belly sigh, she is 10 months old, it happened during playtime with another puppy.

| Twenty years ago I rescued a terrier mix ( no Yorkie in there) from our local humane society. When I took her to the Vet the next day he discovered an umbilical hernia. We waited about 6 mos until she was spayed and he did both procedures at one time. As she had two procedures her recoup time was a little longer but she did well. The only thing I really noticed was she acted like she had a little more pain than she might have had from a spay only, seems likely since she had more done. She lived 17 years and in fact she was my last dog before I got Chloe Primrose last Oct. Her name was Abigail and I miss her, she would have loved Chloe P. I'm sure your baby will do fine I think its not a complicated procedure. Good luck. |
