Twenty years ago I rescued a terrier mix ( no Yorkie in there) from our local humane society. When I took her to the Vet the next day he discovered an umbilical hernia. We waited about 6 mos until she was spayed and he did both procedures at one time. As she had two procedures her recoup time was a little longer but she did well. The only thing I really noticed was she acted like she had a little more pain than she might have had from a spay only, seems likely since she had more done. She lived 17 years and in fact she was my last dog before I got Chloe Primrose last Oct. Her name was Abigail and I miss her, she would have loved Chloe P. I'm sure your baby will do fine I think its not a complicated procedure. Good luck.
