| Finally took the plunge!!-NV RAW! Hi everyone...ya whoooo!!!! I have been contemplating for months to start Snickers on raw and I finally did it. I 1st had to find a kibble he would eat which I did-Evo and now am going to do the rotation with the raw in the morning and kibble in the evening. I am so super excited!! I read, and read, and read, and read about it and am happy to give it to my babyboy. I was vegetarian for 10 yrs and just the thought of raw made me feel gross, but I just opened the bag and am fine. Now I PRAY he will love it in the morning (WATCH HIM HATE IT!!). Is anyone else doing this rotation diet?? If hope so, please chime in and reassure me with how your pup is doing. I am keeping kibble in the plan for when we travel etc. and for $$$ reasons. Thank goodness for the BOGO coupn!! I wonder if I can use that everytime?? Sorry if no one else cares but I am pumped and EXCITED!!! Yowwwwwwiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

| yessssssssssssssssss!!! i have one of mine on 100% raw because she is a finicky eater and raw is the only thing she will consistently eat she is healthy and loves it and her breath smells so good! i do not do the rotation diet with her. as far as the coupon, if you can use it more than once without getting caught (hehe), do it!

| Ok so this morning was Snick's 1st raw breakfast and he literally gobbled it up in 3 seconds flat, then looked up at me like...."now what mom, thats it??" licking his lips!! Hahaha 1 thing I did wrong was not mash it up, I left it in tact and he wolfed it in 3 bites! I will mash it up tomorrow around his plate so it takes him longer to eat. He has NEVER eaten anything this fast besides human food he finds on the ground sometimes. WOW!! I'm thrilled, and let me tell you, what a piece of cake to prepare!! I am so happy I don't have to deal with mixing canned in anymore if this works out. A few questions for NV Raw users: 1) How often do you change up the flavor/meat? I bought Snick the Chicken and Venison medallions. 2) Do you wash off their beards more often?? Snick does not seem to burrow his face in it, but just wondering. 3) Do you all mash it up or leave it in medallion form? Any other suggestions??? I am loving this!! I really hope he cont to enjoy it and that he digests it well.....

| How Old Is Snickers? How old is Snickers, and what did you have him on the first year...I'm the one whose yorkie came on Eucanuba, and want to change...I was going to go w/Evo, but I believe it was you that mentioned if she was really active, this might not be the best...I'm sooooooooo glad you brought that up, as I work, so she's not as active as a pup whose mom is at home all the time ...Anyway, I'm all about raw, but Apple won't be five months, 'till March 31st....Thanks for any input and all the best to you w/your sweetheart.... | Hi Maggie... Snickers is 8.5 months old. I had him on Merrick Puppy Plate until he was 6.5/7 months, then switched him to EVO for the past 1.5 months, made sure he was steady and good on Evo, now am introducing the raw into his daily plan. So now if all goes well, I will feed him 1 medallion in the morning, and his Evo in the evening. Yes, Snickers is super active, like I said we take him on 2 walks a day and when he is up, is usually beating the guts out of his stuffed animals or running around. He does take his naps, but when he is up, he is playing/chewing/or we are chasing him Snickers is in his room while we are at work (6 hours a day) but he is up the whole time (has some separation issues) he sleeps about 1.5 hours during the day when we are home. And sleeps like a rock all night

| I only change up flavor between Rabbit and Lamb. One of my girls is allergic to chicken or beef. I change up flavor after each bag. i started my youngest on Raw as soon as i got her at 13 weeks and she is 1.3 yr now.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | A few questions for NV Raw users: 1) How often do you change up the flavor/meat? I bought Snick the Chicken and Venison medallions. No real rule here, I might switch every month or so, or every other month. Or, you can do every other week - whatever works for you. 2) Do you wash off their beards more often?? Snick does not seem to burrow his face in it, but just wondering. I don't wash them after eating at all, they just don't get messy from it. 3) Do you all mash it up or leave it in medallion form? I mash it up some; Marcel is not a gulper so I leave his in a little pile. For Wylie, who can eat in a microsecond, I push his all out to the sides/borders of his plate, so he kinda has to "grab" pieces w/ his mouth. I remember how excited I was when I started raw, I felt just like you !

| Day 2....I mashed it up today and instead of eating it in 2 seconds, it took him about 30 seconds, he loved it so much. He generally never follows me into the laundery room for his food, but today...there he was. The only thing I am a bit worrysome about is it getting on his beard and not being sanitary. Believe me I have read so many articles and such saying that it is safe, but do any of you wash their beards often who are on raw?? Or not so much? Snickers did not get messy from it at all, actually much cleaner than canned mixed w/ kibble, but I just want to be safe. I am happy that my puppybabyboy is so happy.

| I hadn't even thought about going raw with my dogs, but this is a very interesting thread. Nice to know that they're other options. |

| I use the patties instead of the medallions. I mash them up. Both girls love their meals. I have to put it on a plate for Myah, but Chloe's eats it out of her bowl. I also warm it up for 15 seconds in the microwave and they eat it better. I don't worry about their beards..they don't make a mess when eating. |
