| If you go their store locator at Nature's Variety I'm sure you can find a store by you. If your freeze dried works for you, leave it. I think it is equal to frozen raw. I could be wrong. Ann might let you know.

| I read where heating it will kill enzymes or something or other. I just started mine on it yesterday and they did fine and LOVED, I might add! I hope it works out for you.

When using a microwave to thaw RMBs, you must be extremely careful, as the microwave can begin to cook the food from the inside (the bones) out. Thawing RMBs in the microwave is NOT the recommended method. NEVER, EVER give your dog a cooked bone, as it can splinter and cause severe internal complications. The safest method of thawing is room temperature or, if you're in a bit of a hurry, soak the RMBs in cold water in the kitchen sink.

You can also, put them in a ziploc bag..and put them in some warm water in a cup....I thaw them out that way when I forget to take them out of the fridge. I know use the patties, so I have to remember to take them out ahead of time.

Maybe try hand-feeding him slowly and see what happens. If he vomits again, I would be very careful. Some temporary looser stools is not uncommon (though, I honestly rarely hear of it) when changing to raw, but really - they shouldn't vomit from it. Unless he really did just eat too fast for his tummy. Keep us posted and let us know how it goes.

| I tried giving Sadie the NV Raw Chicken tonight and she wouldn't touch it. I was so disappointed, tried everything, by hand, by spoon, on floor, mixed with kibble, but no go. I also bought the lamb and will try that tomorrow. Maybe she'll like it better since her kibble is lamb based. Meanwhile, Joey, who can't have it, was jumping two feet into the air to try to get to her dish, while she was trying to eat his special food for his liver. Has anyone had this problem with their dog not liking it? I know Joey would've loved it, but the poor thing has to eat a prescription diet.

| I'm another one who warms up NV in warm water. She will only eat it with the chill off and some of the bones taken out (if they are to big). Other than that she loves it, especially the beef. |

| Questions about poop/raw I started just the other day with the raw. Mayzie looked at me like "what is this" but decided to give it a try and they both love it. I give it to them in the morning. Somebody had loose bowels yesterday morning (the morning after the first meal of raw and the first evening of reg/Instinct kibble (new) ) The same thing happened this morning. Although, I did mix more of their regular kibble with less of the Instinct. Mo had a solid poop yesterday afternoon. I am trying to ascertain who is loose and what is causing it. When would they poop the morning meal--that evening? Kibble--the next morning? Does this make sense? I am going to give them just their reg. kibble today when I feed them-just wondered when I should "see" the resulting poop. They have had their raw for today. I hope this makes sense.

| Good News to report!!! This morning, I tried the lamb instead of the chicken and she liked it. At first touch and go, but once she took a small taste, she ate it pretty quickly. What I don't like is that she will take a small piece and bring it in another room to eat it and I don't want traces of it on the floor or carpet. She likes to do this with the kibble also. It's almost like she is protecting it as though someone might take it from her. When Joey approached, she acted like a rottweiler and almost bit off his head. I think she is going to like this just fine. Too bad about the chicken, I hate wasting it, maybe will try it again and see what happens. If you do a rotation, does it matter when you give the raw or the kibble? Just trying to decide what will work best.:

| Wow...I am just loving this discussion, and am so happy so many of our babies are loving this! Yes!! I also am having some "differences" in Snick. Yesterday evening he did not poop and did not each much kibble (maybe 1 tblspoon) and I got worried. This morning he went psycho over his raw again like every morning and then an hour later pooped out this TINY poop. I did find some throw up on the rug yesterday as well and it looked like his afternoon yogurt snack so I think he had a sour tummy and didn't feel like eating. But like I said this morning was like clockwork, I'm sure he will be fine. Ivy--I understand completely, I'm not sure how long it takes them to digest but since Snick did not poop last night, I think it is 24 hours b/c this morning's tiny poop would be his raw from yesterday morning since he didn't eat much last night. Make sense? But I think every dog is different depending on activity level also. drabinowitz--it does not matter if you give the raw in the morn or evening. I just do it in the morn since it is more convienient for me and I want him to eat quick. Which obviously he does now that he is on the raw!! YEAH BABY!!!
