| There might be a difference in the ingredients for Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier Mix than the puppy mix. |

| I looked at Petsmart's website and I didn't see any brands that I knew offhand to be good foods. Aside from those already mentioned by Breeze, I would also recommend California Natural, Eagle, and Innova. I Highly recommend Solid Gold. I feed Bentley Wee Bits by solid gold. He really likes it and it comes in very small kibble size which is perfect for our small dogs. Their website is solidgoldhealth.com. If you enter your zip code on their website you can see if they have a store near you Quote:

| Regarding the ingrediants in the dry dog food what does it mean by "meal", for example, chicken meal. Does that just mean the meat is dried and ground up? I've looked over the ingr's. in the Nutra Natural Choice Ultra Puppy and they seem alright. I have read to stay away from "corn" products is that due to allergy possibilities and wouldn't the corn be in the same relation to wheat, rice, oats, barley, etc? I've been reading over dog food ingr's. for days now and my brain is fried, LOL I'd rather not be tied down to having to place internet orders for dog food and would rather be able to run to Petsmart when the need rises, so I atleast have made a firm choice on that, whew!! Now, it's just figuring out the rest, ha ha..

| I decided to try the Nutro NC Ultra because of the lack of corn and lack of by-products in the ingredients. I also wanted something available locally. “AAFCO Definition: Chicken Meal ” Glossary Definition: Chicken Meal: chicken which has been ground or otherwise reduced in particle size. Hope that helps a bit!

She is bathed twice a week in vet supplied shampoo and we exfoliate her skin. We have been dealing with this condition of hers for years and no matter what we try it never really seems to ever improve. Schnauzer's are very well known for this condition, and in Annabelle's case it really makes her miserable. So, with a dog food change with any hope this will help her, sure worth a shot. And luckily, Schatzie is a chow hound so Im not too worried about incorporating a food change slowly with her. Thanks again!

| Since Carter was going in for his neutering this morning, he couldn't be fed after 9 PM last night. Even though he had emptied his bowl of food before going shopping for his new food, I put more food down for him when we returned home. I mixed the Science Diet Nature's Best and Nutro NC Ultra. He avoided the SD and only ate the Nutro! In 3 weeks, Carter has gone from 2.6# to 3.1# even though he hasn't been an aggressive eater. If I don't monitor his portions carefully, he may get pudgy on the new food.

| After heading to Petsmart in search of the new food Nutro Ultra I got home just in time for Schatzie's and Annabelle's dinner time. It took me longer to prepare their bowls today as I had to mix with the old etc....Both the pooches could tell they were getting something new and barked, danced, and howled until I put their bowls down. I am thrilled to say they both LOVED every morsel !! I too will have to watch their portion's just to make sure they don't turn all plumpy. Schatzie is already almost 8 pounds, don't really want her any bigger for her frame size she has now. I am very pleased with the ingredients in this food and all the benefits towards good health that I read about it.

| I'm so glad they had the same reaction to the food as Carter. I was nervous but not any longer!
