| Poopie Problem... Ok, so Max, my uncle's 1 year old lhasa apso/yorkie mix, likes to eat poop... Not just any poop, but my uncle's other dog, Bailey, his 3 year old shih-tzu's, poop. I posted awhile ago asking for suggestions to get him to stop this bad habit... They've tried what I told them you guys suggested. They tried: -Pineapple for over a week - gave it to both dogs. -Papaya for a week sprinkled on the poop. -Meat tenderizer for a week sprinkled on the poop. -And they gave Max the pills to stop him from eating poop for over a week. They gave him 2 a day at night. He's still eating it!! We are at a loss for what to do... Any help?

| the only thing that has worked (most of the time) is just a stern "LEAVE IT" whenever she starts to get near other poop. Now I let her get near it and most of the time she leaves it alone. Still after 2 years she sometimes still tries to eat it when we walk her--and now she eats the goose poop. We live near water and the geese are coming back after the winter. It is awful--I bring her home and brush her teeth and clean out her mouth!!! If you come up with a sure solution let me know. It has gotten better but still not totally gone. Some said she was not getting enough nutrients in her food, but she eats holistic healthy food and gets plenty of nourishment so it can't be that--just a bad habit! |
